Frequently Asked Questions
Some of the most asked questions concerning real estate. If you have a question, email it to us and we would be happy to help you.
Q: How does an agent get paid?
A: An agent receives a commission check from the seller's side of
the transaction. The commission check is split between the company
and the agent to cover advertising and time involved in the sale.
Q: How does one go about obtaining a
real estate license?
A: The person attends an accredited real estate academy or a
university that offers classes in real estate. After successful
completion of the class, the participant then takes a state
regulated test at an approved testing center. Once the test is
passed, the new real estate seeker has 60 days to affiliate
themselves with a brokerage firm.
Q: Can an agent only show what they have
listed?
A: No. An agent can show any property that is on the market as long
as the other company is a cooperating company and the owner of the
listed house gives permission in the listing agreement for other
agents to show their property.
